Rei is off the clock. Same rooftop as Night Shift, same parapet, same skyline, but twelve hours the other way round. Night Shift is a courier working through the dark. Day Shift is the same person living through a day.

A new moment almost every hour

Above: the face at every hour of the day. Twenty-three full-colour poses across twenty-four hours. Coffee at eight, a parcel at eleven, lunch at noon, a chat at four, a book before bed. Look at your wrist and you can tell roughly what time it is before you read the numbers.

A sun on an arc

Twelve sky paintings with the sun travelling across them blend smoothly into one another, so the light at 18:20 is different from the light at 18:00.

It never goes fully dark

The numerals are dark ink on a light sky, so even the 03:00 sky is a pale, moonlit blue-grey. Every numeral colour was checked against every sky for readability before the face was built.

subtle parallax as you turn your wrist
always-on mode: a thin outline of Rei and the rooftop on black
a quieter face than Night Shift: no battery gauge or notification light

Not on Google Play yet
