Field Scan

On Google PlayWear OS 4, 5 and 6 · round displays

Your dial is the viewfinder of a survey scanner. Everything on it is either part of the instrument (the aperture ring, the readouts, the scan line) or something the instrument is looking at. Nao Sagara, a field survey scientist, works the terrain as the hours pass.

Phosphor green, amber numerals

Deep olive-black glass, a green phosphor ring with sixty ticks, and large amber numerals you can read at a glance. A red lock accent appears when the scanner finds something.

A field that follows the day

Twelve terrain views with a heat bloom that moves along the horizon through the day, and Nao doing something different as the hours go by: surveying, taking photos, logging, resting. A scan line sweeps the field once a minute.

Notifications are contacts

When something is waiting, a blip appears on the ground grid with a count and a ping ring around it. It reads only how many notifications there are, never what they say.

A power cell you can read

Battery is a column of ten segments, each one ten percent, so 45% shows four solid segments and a fifth half lit. It turns red and pulses when low, and a highlight runs up the column while charging.
