Koharu is an apprentice ink painter, and your watch face is her sheet of washi paper. The fox she painted has come to life: every fifteen minutes it is doing something new on the paper.
A fox that will not stay still
It sits, trots, leaps, pounces on a falling petal, looks back at you, stretches, and peeks out of a pool of ink. In the small hours it curls up and sleeps beside her. Tilt your wrist and it shifts slightly on the paper.
Koharu keeps her own day
She grinds ink at dawn, paints through the morning, takes tea in the afternoon, laughs at the fox at dusk, writes by lantern light at night and falls asleep at her desk after midnight. Put the watch on charge and she refills her inkstone. When the battery runs low her ink runs dry and the fox fades to a pale wash.
A drop of ink every hour
At the top of every daylight hour a drop of ink lands on the paper and blooms where the fox stands. You only catch it if you happen to be looking.
Seasons and nights
The branch above her changes with the season: cherry blossom, summer leaves, red autumn leaves, then snow and plum blossom, with petals, rain, leaves or snow drifting down the dial. After eight in the evening the paper turns to night and the ink turns pale. In always-on mode the face goes black: thin numerals and a single ink fox.

Not on Google Play yet
